Abstract

1344590 Conduit boxes H M TRAUPE 11 Feb 1972 [11 Feb 1971] 6501/72 Heading H2E [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A cylindrical or prismatic hollow box 1 has at least one aperture directed towards the surface of a concrete or plaster layer in which it is embedded, which aperture is closed by a plastics plug 6 with a resilient projection 7 extending beyond the concrete -surface. The projection marks the position of the terminal box 1 which may be opened by breaking the overlying concrete and pulling the projection 7. Equipment may then be mounted in the box and covered with a plate. The box may have flanges 2 with resilient projections 12 which engage the sides of an unlying conduit 3. The adjoining walls 5, 8 may then be removed for access. Alternatively, wiring may be run through punched-out apertures 13.
