Abstract
688,356. Gas purifiers. KLONNE, M., and KLONNE, A., (trading as KLONNE, A., [Firm of]. April 11, 1951 [May 30, 1950], No. 8429/51. Class 55 (ii). A purifier for removing hydrogen sulphide from coal gas or the like which is capable of working at high pressures comprises a container 1 having projections 19 which bear on roller bearings 21 and brackets 3 and a series of superposed elements 5 filled with purifying material and forming a central gas distributing pipe 6 supported on a rigid frame 4 which is mounted on roller bearings 20 and projections 18 secured to the container. Gas enters by an inlet 12, leaving by an outlet 13, the inlet being connected to the gas distributing pipe 6 by a connection 8 which has an intermediate flexible portion 9. In a modification the roller bearings 20 and 21 may be replaced by balls or by packing material which allows movement of the container relatively to the brackets 3 and to the frame 4.
