687,828. Spectacle frames. INTERNATIONAL POLAROID CORPORATION. Aug. 8, 1951 [Aug. 10, 1950], No. 18673/51. Class 97 (i). Spectacles comprise a frame member having secured thereto at each end and at the centre lens - supporting members having openings adapted to receive tongues carried upon a pair of transparent deformable lens members to support each of the latter in predetermined position between one end of the frame and the centre thereof. As shown, the frame comprises a bar 10 of metal or plastic having lens-supporting members 11, 12 thereon, also of metal or plastic into which tongues 20 of plastic lenses 19 may be inserted by slight flexing of the lenses. Each lens may comprise a central plastic sheet, which may be filtering or polarizing, laminated between two transparent plastic sheets. The polarizing sheet may be as described in Specifications 548,759 or 549,698.
