Abstract
685,654. Wave-guides. MINISTER OF SUPPLY. July 10, 1951 [July 25, 1950], No. 18525/50. Class 40 (viii). A wave-guide comprises a hollow conductor loaded along the centre of its channel and leaving an unloaded annular portion of the channel adjoining the guide wall. The loading means may be formed of metal or dielectric. As shown, metal washers 7 are supported on rods 8 to form the loading means. The rods 8 may be replaced by a perforated tube. A guide 10 forming a coaxial line with conductor 5 forms a feed connection to the loaded guide formed by conductor 5a and structure 7 and 8. Specification 654,906 is referred to.
