643,605. Dielectric heating. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. March 25, 1948, No. 8858. Convention date, March 28, 1947. [Class 39(iii)] A H.F. dielectric heating apparatus comprises a resonant chamber 1 formed by electrically conducting walls 2 and provided with an aperture in one wall through which the frequency-determining loop 12 of a magnetron 8 projects into the chamber. The field radiated from the loop excites the chamber to cause dielectric heating of the object 6.
