Abstract

1,227,438. Cavity resonators; magnetrons. LITTON INDUSTRIES Inc. 31 May, 1968 [12 June, 1967], No. 26362/68. Headings H1D and H1W. A cavity resonator includes an air-tight portion, and has one of its defining conductive walls which is located outside the air-tight portion displaceable by a piezoelectric device to tune the cavity. The arrangement is described as applied to a coaxial magnetron substantially identical to that of Fig. 6 of Specification 1,226,411 an annular alumina diaphragm being included within the cavity.
