Abstract

<PICT:0685437/III/1> <PICT:0685437/III/2> A homogenizing or emulsifying valve of the ribbed disc type as described in Specification 129,279, [Class 1(i)], wherein the liquid is forced between surfaces provided with eccentric or concentric complemented interfitting ribs, is provided with a plurality of passages leading from the input side of the valve to the space between the interfitting ribs. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a circle of passages 6 lead from the inlet 2 to the space between the ribbed surfaces 3 and 5. More than one circle of passages, as well as a central passage, may be provided or the passages may emerge irregularly over the ribbed area.
