270,997. Stead, J. C. Jan. 3, 1927. Multiple-way valves and cocks.- A multiple-way cock for use, for example, in connection with extraction or diffusion .. processes, comprises a single plug member 7 and a casing 1 having a number of ports 2 - - 6 disposed in a single plane; a passage 8 of substantially uniform size is provided in the plug 7 to connect two of the ports 2 - - 6 selectively, as desired, and one of the casing ports is extended, as shown at 2<11>, in order to connect selectively with more of the ports 2 - - 6 than would otherwise be the case. The ports need not be symmetrically arranged and similar ports and passage may be formed in more than one plane.
