Abstract

685,039. Diamond tools. JEARUM, F. C. Nov. 29, 1948, No. 30949/48. Class 124. [Also in.Group XXII] In a tool holder, the tool bit 4, which is fitted with a diamond tip, is angularly adjustable and is releasably secured in a hollow sleeve 3 which is provided at the ends thereof with threads 3d, 3e, of different pitch, each thread being engaged by a nut 6, or 7, and the nuts being provided with calibrated flanges for indicating the rotational positions of the nuts. The sleeve, which is reversibly insertable in the tool holder, is provided with seatings 3f, 3g, in either of which the tool bit is secured, according to the scale selected for use, by means of a set screw 5.
