684,946. Corsets. DOWD, B. J. Aug. 21, 1951 [Oct. 16, 1950], No. 19669/51. Class 141. A foundation garment e.g. girdle constructed of a single blank of two-way stretch elastic fabric has a front panel 12 of double thickness, the two layers of fabric being so disposed that the courses of elastic yarn in them are oppositely inclined. The front panel 12 is formed by overlapping the ends 7, 8 of the blank these ends being preferably of angular formation so that the front panel is of quadrilateral shape, and being stitched at 11.
