Abstract

684,336. Filing paper and like sheets. KALAMAZOO, Ltd. Jan. 4, 1951. [Feb. 3, 1950] No. 2811/50. Class 146 (i). A portable loose-sheet holder comprises an inner part having a back plate 3 and hinged side pieces 4 for receiving the sheets and an outer invertible part 6 which can serve both as a cover and a support for the inner part. The side pieces of the outer part 6 are each provided with a deep V-gap 9 which extends from the lower open edge of the outer part to the top piece 7. The inner part may then be supported as shown in Fig. 4 in the gaps 9. Attached to the ends of the back plate 3 of the inner part are flanged retaining pieces 5 which when folded up engage the side pieces 4. In the open position, Fig. 5 (not shown) the retaining pieces 5 can be used for supporting offset sheets, and in the closed position, they are locked to catches 13 on the part 6.
