Abstract

517,922. Filing papers. MOBUS, K. Aug. 6, 1938, No. 23294. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1937. [Class 146 (i)] A cabinet for filing drawings or the like in a 'hanging position is provided with hinged top and front members 1, 3 and with telescoping filing pins 5 and tubes 6 pivotally mounted on the front 3 and back 3a respectively, so as to be capable of limited vertical movement. Abutment plates 15, 16 mounted on the members 3, 3a are slotted for the passage of the parts 5, 6 and are capable of adjustment so as to allow the parts 5, 6 to assume an inclined position when the front is opened so as to facilitate inspection of the contents. Rails 9 attached. to the front 3 pass through brackets 11 and are provided with notches 10 and lugs 12 which engage the brackets 11 so as to hold the front either in a partially-opened position or in a fully opened position with the pins 5-separated from the tubes 6 for inserting or removing papers. The drawings are attached to stiff paper strips 18 perforated to fit over the tubes 6.
