683,615. Folding hoods. BRIGGS MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 23, 1949, No. 4964/49. Class 108 (i). A folding hood comprises a front rail section 21 pivoted at 24 to an intermediate rail section 22 which in turn is pivoted at 25 to the rear rail section 23, secured at 43 to the vehicle body. The rear rail is actuated by toggle links 46, 47, and by the ram 51 and the intermediate rail 22 is operated by the link 36 adjustably pivoted at 37 to the vehicle body. The front rail section 21 is operated from an extension 23b of the rear rail 23 by link 27 and the angularly related links 30, 33.
