683,512. Wrapping-machines. FORSTER, L. G. Jan. 29, 1951, No. 2217/51. Addition to 680,115. Class 94(i) The packet end stops 90 described in the parent Specification are replaced by a plate 9 having a horizontal flange which is secured by a screw 13 passing through a slot 14 to a horizontal flange on a vertical plate 10 carrying the movable end brush 92, whereby the plate may be adjusted forwardly to compensate for wear of the brush. The plate 10 is carried by an arm 96 pivoted at 16 on a fixed bracket 101, the pivot being adjustable in a slot in the bracket by means of a screw 28, 30 so that the position of the plate 9 and end brush may be adjusted to suit packets of different lengths. The arm may be swung to the inoperative position shown in dotted lines and is held against stops in the operative and inoperative positions by a spring 33. The upper folding plate 37 is of U-shape in plan to accommodate the plate 9 and is carried by an arm 39 secured to a plate 43 having V-shaped edges running between the edges of the outer races of ball or roller bearings 44. The plate is reciprocated vertically by linkage 46, 47. The side brushes are carried by bars 51 adjustable transversely in brackets 52 by screws 54, 55.
