Class 113 (ii) A collapsable boat comprises ribs b secured to the boat bottom a, vertical gunwhales g secured to the ribs above the load water-line f, inflatable air tubes e adjacent the outer surfaces of the gunwhales g and a skin d that extends over the outside of the boat, encloses the air tubes e, and is stretched taut when the tubes are inflated. The parts h, i of the ribs b above and below the gunwhales g are inwardly curved so that when the skin is taut it is spaced from those parts.
