Class 38 (v) [Also in Groups XII, XIII and XXIX] A switch 64 in the circuit of an electric motor 66 driving the fuel supply pump 68 of a water tube steam generator (see Group XII) is opened when the water tubes become over-heated. Tubes 40, containing volatile liquid, are in good thermal contact with the water-tubes at-their closed tower ends. On over-heating of the water-tubes, the liquid expands, breaking sealing members 43 at the top of the tubes 40, thus increasing the pressure in header 42, and opening switch 64 by means of bellows 60 and rod 62. The switch may also control a valve in the fuel supply line.
