In a spring suspension for perambulators and light vehicles, the stub axle of each wheel is carried by a wheel bearing arm, connected to the chassis or body of the vehicle through the medium of a rubber torsional shear bush and the stub axles of transversely aligned wheels are directly connected by an antiroll bar or tube to afford lateral stability. In the arrangement shown, in which each wheel is carried by a bearing arm 7 and a torsional rubber shear spring 8 preferably of the type disclosed in Specification 676,098, the aligned wheels of each pair are directly connected transversely of the perambulator by an antiroll bar 10, the outer extremities of which project through a rubber lined eye 11 of each arm 7 and form stub axles for wheels. Inner metal shells 13 of the springs 8 are secured to brackets 14 or to clamps 15 which are welded to side frames of the perambulators so that the arms 7 are located below the frames. Limited independent movement of the wheels is permitted by bending of the bar 10. The antiroll bar may be of square section. Also, the anti-roll bar may be a " live " axle and run in oil bearings.
