Abstract

680,086. Couplings. ZECHEL, R. F. Feb. 6, 1951 [Feb. 6, 1950], No. 2857/51. Class 38 (i). A battery connector comprises a U-shaped member 3 to fit the battery terminal, and springy legs 4, 5 which are recessed at 8 and have projections 10 to grip a conductor. The leg 5 has pivots 11 on opposite sides thereof to receive hooks 16 on a spring clamping bow 13 having curved parts 17 which, when the part 15 of the bow is moved to embrace the member 3, Fig. 2, cam against dogs 12 on the leg 5 to cause the member 3 to grip the terminal and the legs to clamp the conductor.
