Abstract

679,320. Goggles. PARMELEE PLASTICS CO. July 26, 1950 [Aug. 1, 1949], No. 18661/50. Class 97 (i). To provide substantially undistorted vision an eyeshield or goggles comprises a transparent wall in the form of a pair of side-by-side segments of a hollow sphere and overlying the eyes of the wearer, a flange substantially at right angles to the wall and circumscribing it at the edge to hold it in spaced relation with the eyes, and means for removably holding the goggles in place. As shown, the spherical segments 11, 13 intersect at 32 and are integral with a flange 20 shaped at the edges 25 to engage the face and having an indented portion 22 to accommodate the nose. A strap 26 holds the goggles in position on the face.
