Abstract

<PICT:0675685/III/1> An emulsifier of the type wherein the materials are forced through the perforations in a wall 16 of an emulsifying head 1 by a motor driven pump 7 is characterized in that the pump comprises a pair of helical elements one rotating within the other so that they are constantly in contact at any cross-section and one of the elements, e.g. the stator 11, being made of resilient material, e.g. rubber. The pump is spaced from the motor 2 and connected by a shaft 14. The pump, head and motor form a rigid assemblage, the lower end of which is adapted to be immersed in the material to be emulsified.
