Abstract

675,560. Two-part couplings. WALSALL CONDUITS, Ltd., and GOUGH, E. April 6, 1950 [April 11, 1949], No. 9726/49. Class 38 (i). In a three-pin shuttered socket connector 10, preferably of the two-part shuttered kind described in Specification 675,558, the shutter supporting member in the form of pivot pin 23 extends from one face of the base to the other and also secures the earthing socket 13 which is preferably that described in Specification 675,576, [Group XXXVIII]. The earthing socket has an extension 21 which is apertured to receive the pin 23 and is secured thereon by a nut 24. The head 25 of the pin is thickened to provide a mounting for the shutter parts 26, 27 and bears on an earthing strip 16 surrounding the socket 13.
