675,022. Compound sheet materials. STOCKER, F. A. Aug. 5, 1949 [Dec. 31, 1948], No. 20391/49. Class 140. A laminate comprises webs of plain and creped kraft paper, 10 and 12, bonded by a natural or synthetic latex-type adhesive, containing casein, in which transverse reinforcing filaments 14, e.g. spun glass fibres, are embedded, and which has been cured in situ. The web is wound into rolls and subjected to gumming or slitting operations in which a coating 16 of glue is applied. The filaments may be diagonally arranged, incorporated in a mesh, or augmented by longitudinal filaments. Specification 675,023 is referred to.
