Abstract

674,970. Electric incandescent lamps. RICCOMAGNO, G. July 5, 1949 [Feb. 4, 1949], No. 17759/49. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Jan. 7, 1950.] Class 39(ii) The filament of a lamp constructed to withstand centrifugal stresses when rotated at high speed, is supported by a frame constituted by two electrodes 13 in the form of parallel bars providing support for two bridge members or cross-braces 14 of insulating material carrying hooked wires 15 around which an uncoiled filament 16 is tentioned, the respective ends of the filament being welded to the adjacent electrode 13. An insulating screen 17 of mica or like material may be mounted between the lower end of the filament and the adjacent bridge 14. In a modification, Fig. 3, (not shown), the insulating bridges 14 are replaced by rings or annular members of insulating material.
