673,527. Bituminous compositions. SHELL REFINING & MARKETING CO., Ltd. July 7, 1950, No. 17050/50. Class 22. A bituminous composition comprises 100 parts of a selected aggregate, 5-20 parts bitumen as a stable emulsion, 5-15 parts Portland cement, and 0.2-2 parts of a water soluble polyvalent metal halide or sulphate. Selected aggregate is defined in the Specification and as examples are given limestone, rhyolite, quartzite, flint, slag, china clay and granite. Preferred salts are calcium, magnesium and aluminium halides and aluminium sulphate, and especially as 10 per cent aqueous solutions. Water, in addition to that already present in the salt solution and emulsion, may be' added.
