Window sills, as of clay or concrete precast in an iron mould, have an L-shaped portion at each end with a rib 11 and mortar well 14 on which bricks shown in the parent Specification, which are of corresponding outline, may be superimposed to form two columns. The window frame fitted between them is received in recesses 17. Distance pieces 16 at the vertical edges of the sill co-operate with the bricks shown in Specification 673,470.
