673,417. Inflatable rafts. R.F.D. CO., Ltd., and BICKNELL, R. Oct. 10, 1950 [March 20, 1950], No. 6870/50. Class 113 (ii). [Also in Group XIII] An inflatable life raft is formed with an inflatable canopy 4 which carries a salt water distillery plant operated by solar heat. A sponge 9, wet by salt water from the bellows 17 is enclosed by a dome 7a which forms a condensing surface but is permeable to the rays of the sun. Condensate is collected by a lower wall 7b coated with wet sponge. Surplus salt water is collected bv a catchment surface 11 and drained off.
