Abstract

673,362. Toys. KOBLER, W. Oct. 27, 1948, No. 27931/48. Class 132 (iii). A structural toy kit comprises rods 1 of various lengths with grooves 2, or notches, or transverse bores at their ends, and clamping means 4 to engage the grooves, &c. such that the axes of the interconnected rods lie in a common plane. The clamps may comprise two screw connected plates with bent-over edges 5 with recesses 6 to engage the rod grooves. An additional clamp may be held by the head of the screw 8, and an internally threaded rod screwed to the end 7. The clamp may be of circular or other shape, and may embrace a rod intermediate its ends. An additional unit, Fig. 16, comprises a bracket 34 supporting a block 25 having tapped holes for the reception of screws with annular slots in their heads, within which clamps are held. Alternatively, Fig. 9, the clamp comprises a slotted sleeve 18 with indents 20 engaging the rod grooves.
