Abstract

623,942. Reinforced concrete. SMITH, W. H. June 2, 1947, No. 14607. [Class 20(iv)] ] Separators for reinforcing bars are preferably of concrete and circular in outline and comprise two or more parts which are clamped on to a reinforcing rod 4. As shown, two parts 1, 2 of semi-circular section, have V-shaped recesses 3 to enable the reinforcing bar 4 and the separator to be clamped together by means of a resilient clip 6 which is accommodated in a groove 5 in the circumference of the parts 1, 2.
