Abstract

673,130. Supporting building boards. HAY, H. M. Feb. 1, 1951 [Nov. 24, 1949], No. 30139/49. Class 20 (iv). Building boards d and f are secured to strips g or wire clips h, the staples e securing both the board d and the strips g or clips h to the upper flange of the lath. The laths b are suspended from purlins a by hangers c and two Z-section laths may be secured together by a Z-section fish plate. In a modification (Fig. 8) the staples e are omitted and the metal strips g are reverted to underlie the upper flange of the Z-section lath and the reverted portion is associated with a cover plate l Z-section laths b by staples e and metal which engages over the end of the reverted portion of the strip and over the lower flange of the lath. In further modifications plates underlying the board d are secured to the upper flange of the Z- section lath by self-tapping screws.
