Class 110(iii) A ceramic turbine blade is mounted in a steel rotor by means of dovetail roots, the inclination of the sides of the dovetail to the direction of the tensile stress on the blade being an angle, the tangent of which is equal to two to three times the ratio of the permissible tensile strength to the compressive strength of the ceramic material.
