Class 110(iii) The root of a ceramic turbine blade is provided, after firing, with an adherent coating which may be machined so that it is not necessary to work on the ceramic material itself when the seating surfaces are machined to fit the rotor grooves. The coating may be an easily machinable material such as metal or may be non- metallic, for example, of ceramic or ceramic-like material.
