671,669. Photogrammetry; drawing-appliances. ASPLUND, B. D. March 14, 1949 [March 15, 1948], No. 6906/49. Classes 97 (ii) and 97 (iii). Apparatus for producing projections, particularly for producing a perspective projection from an orthographic projection, and vice versa, comprises a ruler 45 having a rectilinear edge, a lamina 42 having a rectilinear bearing line 44 and a line system at right angles to the bearing line so arranged as to permit points along at least one side thereof on the paper 41 to be used for the projecting operation to be seen from above the lamina, both the ruler and the lamina being pivotally arranged about an axis 43 through which pass both the ruler edge and the lamina bearing line 44 or its extension, and a pin coaxial with the axis 43 adapted to secure the ruler and the lamina to a support. Preferably the lamina is provided with a line system parallelling the bearing line 44 and, as shown, the intervals of at least one of the line systems are equal. The lamina is preferably transparent.
