888,698. Indicating-apparatus. ROBERTSHAW-FULTON CONTROLS CO. April 17, 1958 [April 29, 1957], No. 16686/61. Divided out of 888,697. Class 106 (4). The subject-matter of this Specification is included in Specification 888,697 but the claims are directed to a dual pointer indicating-unit in which the indicating pointers of two instruments which are mounted at least partly behind an elongated, curved, substantially vertically extending scale, co-operate each with one vertical edge of the scale, the axis of one of the pointers being further from the scale than the other and/ or parts of the two instruments passing through a common vertical plane extending rearwardly from the scale. In Fig. 10 the two instrument movements 281, 282 are mounted on opposite sides of, but project through, a vertical partition 285. The pointers 212, 214 are of different lengths and co-operate with opposite edges of a graduated curved scale 288. The shorter pointer 214 describes an arc of radius less than that of the scale and is arranged to be slightly in front of the scale in its mid-position while the longer pointer 212 describes an arc of radius greater than that of the scale and is arranged to be slightly behind the scale in its mid-position.
