671,476. Electric indicating systems. SHORT & MASON, Ltd., and TAVENDALE, A.À B. June 30, 1950. [April 5, 1949] No. 9248/49. Class 40 (i). In, a wind direction indicator wherein the moving vane 10 operates a remote indicating. pointer through a Desynn like system, the transmitter resistor comprises a single winding mounted on a plate-like former 20, Fig. 2, made slightly convex on each side to tension the winding which is engaged on its upper surface, Fig. 1, by three or more contacts 21, Fig. 4 (not shown) carried by and equally spaced circumferentially of the shaft 11 rotated by the wind vane. Current is led out by slip ring 24 and brushes 26 to the usual polyphase-permanent magnet rotor receiver.
