Abstract

An adaptor for mounting a wind direction sensor (transmitter) on an instrument (test equipment) support consists of an upper part, which can be attached to the wind direction sensor, and a lower part which is connected to the instrument support. The lower part is adjusted in a predetermined direction with respect to the instrument support. The wind direction sensor is aligned with respect to the upper part in accordance with this adjustment. For this purpose, the upper part is provided with an opposing coupling which, on the one hand, is attached to the wind direction sensor and, on the other hand, can be aligned with respect to the upper part. During replacement of the wind direction sensor, said sensor is adjusted with respect to the upper part, independently of the instrument support, said upper part, for its part, being connected to the lower part in a specific, predetermined assignment. The work on the instrument support is thus reduced to the very simple connection of the upper part to the lower part. This connection can be made in only one specific, predetermined assignment of the upper part to the lower part.
