671,179. Suction cleaners. HOOVER, Ltd. June 5, 1950 [June 10, 1949], No. 13996/50. Classes 8 (i) and 8 (ii) An air filter unit suitable for demonstrating the efficiency of a suction cleaner comprises a rigid hollow casing 1 having inlet and outlet ducts 4, 3 and a transverse V-shaped notch 12, the downstream face of which holds a perforated metal screen 15 supporting a filter paper 2 which is held by a housing cover 22 when closed. The cover 22 is pivoted at a pin 21 being urged to open or closed position by a snap over spring, and has an inspection window at its top.
