669,489. Milking-machine teat-cup assembly. FIELD, H. E. May 10, 1950. [May 11, 1949] No. 12523/49. Class 84. A milking-machine teat. cup assembly consists of a resilient milk tube 18, and a flexible liner 22, the milk tube carrying an enlargement 19 on to which the lower end of the liner is fitted, being held in position by a ring 23. An annular rib 20 on the milk tube can be drawn through the teat-cup shell 21 by pulling on the milk tube, thus stretching the liner 22. Ring 23 may be of rubber, rigid synthetic resin, spring metal, or a hinged ring might be used. In another embodiment (not shown) the joint of the liner and milk tube is itself drawn through a clearance hole in the shell and is prevented from moving back by a ring slipped on to the liner, the ring forming an abutment engaging the teat-cup liner.
