Abstract

668,271. Valve generating circuits. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Dec. 5, 1947 [March 4, 1946], No. 32174/47. Class 40 (vi). A high-frequency generator energized from a 3 or more phase supply has one valve per phase the grids of which are excited by separate inductors wound on a common support and has an A.C. supply fed to the grids in the same phase as to the anodes to prevent grid current when the corresponding anode is negative. The Specification describes a circuit comprising only two valves 3, 3<SP>1</SP> having a common anode tuned circuit 5 coupled to separate grid coils 6, 6<SP>1</SP> to produce oscillation and have their anodes energized through H.F. chokes 2, 2<SP>1</SP> in phase opposition by the mains transformer 1. A further transformer 11 feeds a mains voltage to the grids in the same phase as to the anodes. Specifications 18.4,216 and 619,228 are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a circuit in which a single coil coupled to the anode tuned circuit feeds the two grids. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
