Abstract

667,476. Dust covers for garment stands. KERMAN, R. A., and FINLAY & CO., Ltd., J. B. Feb. 28, 1950. No. 5110/50. Classes 52 (i) and 52 (v). A cover for mantle .rail frames of the type having a rectangular frame mounted on legs so that it can be moved across the floor comprises two rigid vertical end members 6, 7 joined by a rigid roof member 15. Each end member consists of a pair of vertical members 8 to the inside of which are attached battens 13 which rest on legs 4 of the rectangular stand, profiled top and bottom members 9 and intermediate profiled members 10 which engage a vertical member of the frame. Each vertical end member is covered on the outside by an aluminium sheet 11 bent to conform to the profile of the members 9 and 10 and on the inside by panels (not shown). Straps 14 hold the end members in position. Mirrors 22 may be attached to the vertical members and the roof may be made of glass. Curtains may be drawn across the front and back of the frame.
