Abstract

666,815. Mincers. LAMB, H. T. July 26, 1950 [Sept. 5, 1949], No. 22998/49. Class 28 (ii). [Also in Groups II and XXXV] In a mixing, kneading, &c. machine which can be up-ended and the mixing bowl 22 removed and replaced by a mincer unit, the driving mechanism is mounted on a base plate 1 and is covered by a removable casing 19. The reduction gear (worm drive 7-12 is additionally enclosed between a dished cover 17 and an annular plate 24 covering a dished recess formed by the rim 18 on the base 1. The driving motor is pivotable about 6 causing a tensioning of the belt 8, and restrained by a rubber strap 10. The shaft 13 of the worm wheel 12 terminates in a socket 15 rotating within a fixed sleeve 16 with reduced upper end 16a to receive the turned over end 15a of 15. A slotted spigot 21 fixed to the bottom of the bowl is in driving connection with the driven socket by means of a transverse pin 20. The bowl is provided with a stand in the form of an inverted dish 23 on which it can rest when removed from the machine. When a mixer attachment is to be used the machine is up-ended, the mincer casing is secured bv a screw 27 and the mixer shaft is coupled to the drive shaft.
