663,969. Automatic regulation; rectifying. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and BARRY, J. N. June 21, 1950 [June 21, 1949], No. 16473/49. Classes 38 (ii) and 38 (iv). An R.F. oscillator 1 is connected to a voltage doubling rectifier 6, 7, the output voltage of which is maintained constant by increasing the space current of the oscillator as the load current increases. The rectifier load current flows through a resistor 18 in the grid circuit of a control valve 14, the anode potential of which is applied as a control voltage to the screen grid of the oscillator. In a modification, an amplifying stage is interposed between the oscillator and the rectifier and this amplifier is similarly controlled. Specification 558,884 is referred to.
