Abstract

663,009. Fencing. BAYLISS, JONES, & BAYLISS, Ltd. July 5, 1950 [July 6, 1949], No. 17874/49. Class 45 In metal fencing having vertical palings 14 which pass through holes in substantially horizont ally disposed upper and lower rail mem bers 10, 11 and ir which the palings are held in position by displacing the meta of the palings ad jacent the upper and lower rail members each rail member is arranged to provide a substantially horizontal flange 12 anc the metal of each pal ing is displaced im mediately above and below the flange 12 to form projections which will not pass through the holes on the flange. The rails are attached to T-section posts 16 by fishplates 24 which pass through slots in the stem of the post and are bolted to the rails. Each post has an angle section stay and is anchored in the ground by a horizontal base plate and vertical wings or by a plate having vertical and horizontal parts.
