661,885. Refrigerating; heating and cooling buildings &c. MANOILESCU, M. Sept. 10, 1948 '[March 18, 1946], No. 23861/48. Classes 29 and 64(ii) . Buildings, rooms or open spaces such as roads are heated or cooled by closed flat tanks 2, 5 in the ceiling or walls or under the road surface, the tanks being filled with water through which passes a serpentine coil which is either the condenser 1 or evaporator 4 of a closed evaporating- condensing system which may include a circulating pump 7. The invention may also be applied to heating or cooling mine galleries, submarines, boats, vehicles. Suitable refrigerants are stated to be ammonia, sulphur dioxide, isobutane, ethylamine, dimethylamine or methylamine. Many sources of heat or cold both natural and artificial are mentioned. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the subjectmatter of Specification 661,949. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
