Abstract

661,060. Resilient mountings. A. V. A., Ltd., and PENTONY, T. H. April 27, 1950. [April 30, 1949] No. 11578/49. Class 108(iii). In a cushioning device comprising a block 1 of rubber or the like and means for transmitting stresses to plates or discs 2 bonded to the ends of the block, a somewhat smaller inner flange or disc 4 is united by a preferably axial stem to each of the end plates 2 and is completely embedded in the block. In the arrangement shown each flange 4 is united to the plate 2 through a short stem 5 and the outer surface of each plate 2 is provided with parallel flats 6 for engagement by a spanner. The invention may be applied to the cushioning devices disclosed in Specification 576,424.
