Abstract

659,186. Partitioned egg boxes. BRADSTREET & SONS, Ltd., E. J. Feb. 16, 1949, No. 4264. [Class 18] Partition members 3 of a compartmented insert in an egg box 1 are extended so that their ends 4 engage the box walls and space the outer boundary members from said wall. Inner partition members are of less depth than said outer members for the reception of flanged end covers 6 thereon, flange 7 pressing against the sides of the surrounding deeper partitions. The box bottom, end covers and a lid 2 are provided with transparent panels for inspecting the contents. The eggs are preferably packed in corrugated cardboard cylinders inserted in the compartments.
