Abstract

678,285. Boxes. VENESTA, Ltd., BARRY, C. W., and PETO, H. G. M. July 25, 1950 [May 18, 1949], No. 13319/49. Class 18 Cylindrical articles, such as rolls of metal foil, are supported within a box by triangular sectior members 4 the apex 16 of each of whiclprojects into a corner of the box sc that when an article is positioned within the box it rests on the inner side 12 of the members, the remaining two sides 14 being deflected inwardly away from the sides of the box. The members may be formed of interleaved cardboard or two sides may be made of plywood to the ends of which the third side of cardboard may be secured and on which the article rests. Where a number of rolls of metal foil are packed in one box discs of cardboard may be interposed between them. The ends of the rolls are protected either by plywood discs or by corrugated cardboard disposed at the ends of the box.
