[Class 18] A carton for a fragile article is provided with article retaining means comprising at least two separate units 10, 11, 50, disposed one above the other. Each unit 10, 11, 50, comprises spaced flexible walls 13, 14 supported by interlocking and crossing walls 45, the walls forming a central chamber spaced from the walls of the carton. Horizontal sheets 51, 53, having central apertures through which the fragile article can be passed, may be provided between the units. In the form shown, three units 11, 10, 50 are provided.
