[Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XII] Apparatus for cooling hot sinter comprises contiguous hoppers 1 and 2, which are fed alternately from a branched shoot 12 controlled by a flap valve 13, are provided with inverted louvres 11 in the exposed walls for the supply of cooling atmospheric air, and are discharged through gates 8 controlled by hand-operated rack-and-pinion gear 9 on to vibrating shoots 14 mounted on springs and delivering cooled material on to an endless belt 16 or into trucks.
