Abstract
657,398. Saw-tooth generating circuits. OFFICE NATIONAL D'ETUDES ET DE RECHERCHES AERONAUTIQUES. Feb. 23, 1949, No. 4911. Convention date, June 1, 1948. [Class 40 (vi)] A saw-tooth wave is generated in the anode circuit of a valve T3 by connecting the grid to a positive potential V through a large resistance 10 and feeding negative rectangular pulses to a grid capacitor 3. The leading edge of the pulses rapidly reduce the grid voltage which thereafter rises substantially linearly under the influence of the pulse voltage and the voltage V, the rise being terminated by the trailing edge of the pulses or the occurrence of grid current. The pulses may be generated in the valve T3 or, as shown, by a " flip-flop " circuit T1, T2 which is triggered by pulses applied through a capacitor 1.
