[Class 81(ii)] A chest piece for a stethoscope has a trumpet shaped inlet aperture in a body member 11 and spaced diaphragms 5, 6, 7 and 8, each having circularly arranged apertures set so as to approach more closely to the centre line in successive diaphragms and so that the top diaphragm 5 has a single central hole. The top of the body is closed by a Y-piece 1 for connection to ear pieces.
